AdBlue (DEF) for Commercial Supply
AdBlue is a high-purity aqueous urea solution (32.5% urea in demineralised water) used in Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems to reduce harmful nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions from diesel engines.
Every diesel engine manufactured after 2016 is equipped with SCR technology and requires a consistent supply of AdBlue to operate. Without it, vehicles enter limp mode and cannot function efficiently. Ultra Pure ensures your operations never face disruption, with deliveries available 7 days per week.

What is AdBlue and Why is it Required?
AdBlue (also known as Diesel Exhaust Fluid or DEF) is a precisely formulated solution of 32.5% high-purity urea dissolved in demineralised water. It is injected into the exhaust stream of diesel engines equipped with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology.
When AdBlue is injected into the hot exhaust gas, it breaks down into ammonia and carbon dioxide. The ammonia then reacts with harmful nitrogen oxides (NOx) over a catalyst, converting them into harmless nitrogen and water vapour. This process reduces NOx emissions by up to 90%.
Regulatory Requirement
Since 2016, all new diesel vehicles sold in the UK and EU must meet Euro 6 emission standards. SCR systems using AdBlue are the primary technology used to achieve compliance. Operating without AdBlue will trigger engine management warnings and can result in reduced vehicle performance.
For commercial fleet operators, haulage companies, and industrial users, a reliable supply of high-quality AdBlue is essential to maintaining operations and regulatory compliance.
